We are celebrating a very special 1 year anniversary today! Thank you Marisa and family for sharing, and more importantly, for taking Gracie in and loving her! You gave her the life she deserved!! Rescuing a dog may just change your life for the better! The first 2 pics are time of rescue, the 3rd is now! From her adopter: Today is the anniversary of our beautiful Gracies (fka LILAC) rescue by SCR. We are beyond thankful to the Angels of SCR for taking the steps necessary to save Gracies life. She was left outside of BARCS in Baltimore literally frozen and emaciated - 22 pounds. The night before Thanksgiving - the incredible volunteers of SCR - got Gracie the emergency medical care in PA necessary to save her and then brought her to Faithful Friends to continue the care needed to ensure she would have a second chance. Gracie is now a healthy and happy 63 pounds and is complete sweetness, love, fun and joy. As so many have said - she saved us more than we saved her. She has had a profound and indelible impact on our hearts and minds...we are gratefully changed forever. We all wish all of you and your fur babies a warm, loving and wonderful Thanksgiving. There are not adequate words to express how incredibly humbled and deeply grateful we are for the work of SCR.
