“We are creatures of habit. Old cranks have practiced all their lives, just as old saints have likewise practiced all their lives” (John Powell). Many times we react in the same manner in similar situations. We do not by accident do the right thing, but it comes from living in a consistent manner. That is a reason the apostle Paul gives us this advice in Romans 12:2, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” God, help us to draw near to You and learn Your ways.
