We are currently experiencing a humanitarian crisis at our southern border as tens of thousands of children from Central America are coming across our border and overwhelming our border security agents. This crisis is a direct result of President Obama’s action to give children who have been brought to this country by their parents a special status, not authorized by law, and has caused the rise of rumors throughout Central America that if parents send their children to America they will be allowed to stay. Today, I am calling on the President to immediately begin an advertising campaign throughout Central America to tell the people in that region that there has been no change in U.S. law, that if they send their children unaccompanied by their parents to our border that they will be putting them in grave danger. I am also calling upon him to immediately call up the National Guard to assist our overwhelmed border agents in not only addressing this unfolding crisis. Read more: goo.gl/6T2UAq
