We are currently seeking workshop proposals/leaders for Luna Rising, 2015. Luna Rising 2015 will be held Saturday, January 31 and is a day-long event led by members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte congregation, a collaborative effort that brings women and girls together in celebration of the Divine Feminine. Luna Rising’s goals are to lift up and celebrate the power of the feminine, to recognize the importance of women affirming and supporting one another, and to encourage participants to listen to and learn from the voices, visions, and wisdom of other women. The day includes about 100 participants, an opening and closing ceremony, workshops, a Community Resource Center as well as a light breakfast and lunch. It is intentionally multigenerational, with participants ranging in age from 7 to 90. Registration begins in early January but all workshop proposals must be submitted in the fall. As we approach our 6th year, we move into another exciting dimension of the Divine Feminine by declaring 2015’s event, “The Year of the Mother: Celebrating the Creator, Balancer, and Nurturer within us all.”
