We are deep into our study of the Gospel According to John. Today - TopicsExpress

We are deep into our study of the Gospel According to John. Today we dealt with the ramifications of raising Lazarus from the dead and some of the conditions arising among the disciples... For example: How is it possible that Judas was among the disciples casting out demons, performing great miracles and at the same time skimming off the top of the offerings and plotting to betray The Lord? Is it possible that he was compartmentalizing the truths hed professed in Christ? How many of us have places in our lives that we have closed off to the savior? Like the laundry piled up in the room at the top of the stairs, out of view for the guests coming in for dinner who only see the perfectly polished place settings... We invite Christ into the areas of our lives that are cleaned up and presentable, but dare not open up the areas void of His light. These are our besetting sins - the ones that trip us up and create feelings of regret, guilt and even resentment. The cure for besetting sin: Take The Lord to the dark places! Invite Him into the places that you have not cleaned up! - invite the savior in to save. - Pastor Sam
