We are delighted to share excellent news with you: IOE has risen to the number one position in the 2014 QS World University Rankings for Education overall (from number seven in 2013). The QS rankings annually review more than 2,000 universities worldwide and rank the top 400 institutions on a range of criteria, including research citations, academic and employer reputation, staff/student ratios and internationalisation. This is the leading ranking for universities worldwide and the number one rating is a powerful endorsement of the quality of our work. The QS announcement follows hard on the heels of the ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings for Initial Teacher Training across all levels of our provision, and the Institute’s number one rankings for student satisfaction in the 2013 National Student Survey and Which?
