We are delighted to welcome our newest member artist, Britt Ripley! Britt is fascinated with forms, textures, and patterns of the natural and built world and the interplay of constantly changing light. As a photographer, his work is significantly influenced by his ranching family background and his work as a landscape architect and musician. The wonderful energy, strength, and free spirit of horses led me to develop a strong connection with these beautiful creatures, Britt said.My mother, Kye, who raised her adored Arabian horses, also showed me how deep the human-Equus bond could be. In contrast, Texas longhorns were my father’s passion. The imagery I create of horses, cattle, and ranching helps me to artistically and emotionally explore my continued connection to this colorful yet fading way of life. Over the past ten years, Britts work has been exhibited in more than 30 combined solo and group shows and at numerous fine art festivals, and is found in private art collections across the U.S. Please help us welcome Britt to pARTiculars!
