We are eagerly awaiting the release of the much shouted about, but we havent actually decided on any details yet sorry, retirement plan by the Coalition for the Protection of Horses tomorrow. Close to a year after they start demanding people follow their retirement plan they might actually release some details. Following the long established CPR policy of you guys go start shouting, we will work out what we are actually shouting about later on. The first question will be, of course, why the plan is only for thoroughbreds and standardbreds are not included? Someone should probably remind them that standardbreds are actually horses too. No. Really. They are. Unfortunately, there is very little in the way of merchandising and donation revenue, and very few photo opportunties for standardbreds so they get left out by passionate animal rights groups like the Coalition for the Protection of Horses We would also like to thank all the messages of support we have received especially from those who actually work with animal rescue and rehoming programs and the tips off you have given us about this organisation. It does seem the Coalition for the Protection of Horses are ruffling a lot of feathers amongst their own kind and even passionate animal rights supporters are distancing themsleves from this so called animal rights organisation. We do think of them more as an animal merchandising organisation and with Christmas just around the corner sure the Christmas catalogue will be out soon.
