We are excited to announce that the Global Center for Advanced Studies will be teaching the first section of a course entitled, Reading Contemporary Radical Thinkers (May 20-29). Leading Professors: Michael ORourke and Katerina Kolozova This course unfolds in three mini (1 credit) sessions featuring interviews/guest lectures from Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, Beatriz Preciado, J. Jack Halberstam, Donna Haraway, Jodi Dean, Katerina Kolozova, Priyamvada Gopal, Michael ORourke, Sigrid Hackenberg, Lucca Fraser and others. The idea is to read one book from each of these theorists and discuss the book (or section of the book/article) with them so to become more familiar with their work in relationship to the students (GCAS researchers) own work. The first part will be taught later this month for just $99 (and if you sign-up today you will get the second course-section for free).
