We are full-timing with no sticks & bricks home anymore. In preparation, we attended an Escapees bootcamp, set up a mail forwarding service & established residency (drivers licenses, vehicle registration) in the no-income-tax state of South Dakota, got a comprehensive full-timer insurance package, made sure our health insurance covers us outside of South Dakota, got our dogs shots up to date, got wifi and cell boosters for back-up internet (with land-based broadband being hooked-up when we stay for more than a couple months in a location) and selected an assortment of on-board and extra climate related items (arctic package for tanks/pipes, 3rd a/c, electric mattress pad, space heater, insulation tubes for water hose, light bulb heat in water cabinet, etc). One thing that we have heard could be a problem is our retirement investment accounts: apparently some of the financial institutions will not allow account holders to not have a physical address. Ive heard that Merrill Lynch, for example, sent letters to people without physical addresses saying they had 30 days to clean out their accounts and go elsewhere. Have any of you had this happen?
