We are happy to announce that thе Home for Socio-Medical Care "St. Ivan Rilski" in Sofia has a new Acting Director Dr Veselinova. The new appointments is a result of the hard work of Coalition "Childhood 2025", one of whose members is Cedar, to warn the institutions and the media about the proposal for appointing Dr Djurelova - the discredited ex-director of the Home. We would like to remind you that when she was in charge of the Home, there were a few serious accidents with children. In one case the hand of one of the children in the Home was amputated because he was tied to the bed for a long time (in 2003), while another child had 80% burns that were life-threatening and did not receive medical care for a few days (in 2011).
