We are having construction work done at home (hold me my friends, this is going to take a few months and soon it will be winter so there will be no unexpected bonuses like half naked builders sweating in sunshine - expect moaning). Today they were using some sort of heavy drilling equipment, so Mr Cool decided to take me far away where I could at least scream and be heard. We went to Basildon Park, where they filmed Pride and Prejudice and also some episodes of Downton Abbey. I was charmed and distracted until we arrived home and I saw the mess....
