We are having the worst drought in California history, according to the news. Anyone else scratching their heads about how then entire length of California is sitting next to the Pacific Ocean...yet, we have no water. Were having the water police starting in a couple of weeks, where people can be fined $500 for watering yards, wasting water. We also have more days of sunshine per year than just about anywhere in the US, for sure. Why in the H is desalination not a top priority? It takes too much energy. Solar=energy. Wind=energy. Ocean=water. Wouldnt you think that at the very LEAST, ocean water could be DILUTED to an acceptable level to SUPPLEMENT our water supply for at LEAST agricultural purposes, not for potable (drinking) water?
