We are home from Washington, IL and our help with the tornado clean up. The OPRF wrestling Family took 100 people, a truckload and many carloads full of clothing and food to assist the wrestlers from Washington who lost their homes a week ago. To say we were stunned by the devastation is an understatement. I was struck by how small the pieces were of the homes as we were picking them up out of the fields. Peoples houses were pulverized. What amazed me was the positive attitudes everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Not a sole was openly distraught. People who have been homeless now for a week were working together to clear debris, bring food, provide rides, and amazingly sometimes laugh with each other. #WashingtonStrong means as much to me now as #HuskiePride.
