We are in leaving Nairobi today headed to one of the National Parks and will be staying at the Ark Hotel which is at an elevation of 7000 feet. Martha has already kissed a Giraffe and eaten flying white ants for dinner. The ants taste like peanuts and she said they were good. We visited an elephant orphanage, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. We almost adopted a baby elephant for only $50. The adoptions are to support the center and it is $50 a year. We also visited Karen Blexen Plantation - Out Of Africa fame. It was very beautiful and tranquil. We also went a bead and pottery plant which was founded to support elderly widowed women. Plus we got a tour of down town Nairobi, it is a very big and monder city. We went by the West Gate Mall, the one that was bombed. Yes we did that all in one day.
