We are investigating a serious road traffic collision between two cyclists and a van that occurred last night (Tuesday July 9th) on the Old Raglan Road (A40) between the Steelhorse Cafe and the Hardwick Roundabout at 8.50pm The collision occurred as the cyclists were riding toward the Abergavenny area and the van was travelling in the opposite direction. A 26 year old male cyclist from Cardiff was injured and is currently in a critical condition at Nevill Hall Hospital. A 33 year old male cyclist from Abertillery received minor injuries. Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact them on 101 and quote log number 576 9/7/13
