We are just 3 weeks before school is scheduled to start. Im sure we are all feeling a bit nervous about the strike. We all want our children back in school but we also want our children in a properly funded educational system that can meet the various needs present in the classroom. It will be tough for teachers to continue going unpaid while they fight for the quality of our education system. They will only be able to hold out so long before they will be forced into a position of backing down. They, too, have bills to pay and children to feed. Parents, wed love to hear your ideas about how we can increase pressure on the government to negotiate on class size and composition. Its quite possible that the outcome of this strike will be determined by parents -- whether that be their words or their silence.
