We are led by delusional souls! “People in Mumbai can even - TopicsExpress

We are led by delusional souls! “People in Mumbai can even today get a proper meal for just Rs12,” said by Congress MP, Mr.Raj Babbar. What else can be expected from our so-called policy makers when they pass such an insensitive & absurdly ridiculous remarks on the poor of our Nation? Which world are they living in? How they perceive the poor people’s condition? What more shocking and ghastly is that his remark was upheld by his colleagues, going even further in mocking the poor and the middle-class. This mindset reflects our casual mindset of having chosen these people to be at the helm of our country to bring Economic & Social development. They need deep introspection; but we are also not lagging too behind. Even we have to introspect on certain things to sanitize and help of country rid of people with such a parochial mindset, churning out such outlandish discovery. So much so that after having taken the jibe at poor of our country, these guys dared to come again before camera - to rub salt to our wounds - being unshaken by their remarks. A like-minded person once said, “If you cannot accept something, change it; but if you cannot change something then accept it. We are the power: We are the change and we are the Game-changer! All this while, we have only changed ourselves, with our “Chalta hai attitude”. Now let’s change others… Others…? The politicians. We should play the game with our strength: Collectiveness. The sweet part of our core strength is our unification; we have this strength but collectively- not individually. “YOU” and “I” are nobody without “WE”; because that’s where our power lies. We should immune ourselves enough to protect us from the divisive politics. A polarizing politics under the garb of secularism should be unmasked or completely overlooked, giving no importance to it by unnecessarily reacting to the headlines it makes. If we overlook this, it will stop becoming headlines. Our reaction to a feeble news at times makes it larger than life. And it burgeons into provocation, hatred & abhorrence between various communities, which brings me to another saying by Mr. Gandhi… “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” I know it is now an obsolete idea but still as truthful as the existence of SUN & MOON. We may still be in a denial mood to accept the truthfulness of it; but if followed, almost all the communal problems will wipe out. Look at the irony: Humans are malleable but the wrongs have completely overpowered the rights, thus, leaving us with a very little scope of transforming the wrongs into the rights. People are changeable; sadly we don’t have a great leader who can change people with his charismatic personality. Well, this brings to an end to my short wish-list. I’ve listed a few wishes from my wish-list & some paramount changes, which our country needs to embrace. I know it is virtually impossible to see them materialized. However, I am doing my bit to bring change. Are you…?
