We are looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing! FUNCTION: - To provide sales support to meet budgeted sales, by generating new ideas and revenue in a pro-active manner, maximizing sales in all areas, developing and delivering the hotel’s strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - To develop the sales team into a pro-active function that is focused on delivering results and supports other departments to achieve budget. - To plan, implement and review department training. - To devise and develop the hotel’s strategy to meet budget. - To represent the hotel to new potential clients in a professional manner, with in-house and external appointments, achieving 6 quality appointments per week. - To provide comprehensive reports highlighting successes and opportunities. - To produce action plans, ensuring that agreed actions are performed and monitor results. - To oversee all sales action being performed by departmental employees, supervising and policing to ensure deadlines are met. - To run the sales and marketing department within its budget accounting for all expenditure, developing a means of advertising control. - Explore all advertising opportunities, developing an advertising strategy to focus on core necessities, to ensure areas in need of advertising are covered. - Work closely with the General Manager having regular feedback updates to ensure communication is of a high level. - Hold monthly communication meetings with an agenda and minutes. - Create a fun working environment that is customer orientated, both internal and external, with a pleasant atmosphere, and that has no barriers. - Attend company meetings or training courses as necessary. - Hold and host client evenings. - Assist with the recruitment of departmental employees. - Abide by all relevant Labor Safety legislation rules. Required Skills: - University education. - Experience in the same role: >3 years. - Managerial experience: >3 years. - Fluent English. - Advanced computer user. - Analytical skills. - Innovative. - Decision maker. - Drive results. - Strategic thinking.
