We are looking for a senior person - please spread to your colleagues: The Mobile Life centre (mobilelifecentre.org), located at DSV in Stockholm, Sweden, is looking to hire a new senior researcher to lead up research and form a new research agenda within the centre. We seek candidates who are proven researchers with a international reputation, a history of leading joint industry and academic projects, and a sensitivity to both social and computing science. We would expect to appoint a senior researcher at a position equivalent to a associate or full professor position. We expect an appointment to be for two years initially, with an expectation that this will be extended into a permanent position. Applications from candidates whose research engages with design, technology and human computer interaction - broadly conceived - are especially welcomed. We are particular interested in candidates who have a strong international reputation in "research through design". Mobile Life focuses on design for our future life with digital technology, an enjoyment society where happiness, pleasure and play are adopted into all aspects of our lives. Examples include designing for somaesthetics, materiality, Internet of Sports, "money", fashion, leisure-time activities or playfulness. We expect that the candidate holds a PhD and has worked some years after finishing - in academia or professionally in industry. However, we are interested in exceptional candidates with any skill set that fits with the Mobile Life research program.
