We are made to follow God carefully and take instructions from Him, not to lead or instruct Him. When we pray to God, we shouldnt try to make Him submit to our will, that will just be like trying to make God bow to us, which is impossible. It is our duty to pray (drop our petitions before Him) in Humility, it is by His mercy and grace that He listens to our prayers and if He hears our prayers, that is as good as an answer. Remember! Jesus knows your past, He knows your present and your future, if what you are asking Him to give you now doesnt fit your future, He will not release it to you. This is one of the reasons why we feel abandoned by God. Learn to pray in humility, expecting Gods will to be done not yours.
