We are making a plea on behalf of Keiko and Benji. They are best friends and have lived together their entire life. They are members of our Adopt a Senior Program which means there is no adoption fee charged for these dogs. Because they are seniors many people are not interested in them and then because they must be adopted together it difficult to find a forever home. The Vet checked out Benji today because his arthritis is making things difficult for him. However he is in pretty good overall health; Vet said his heart is good. He started some pain medication today to address his discomfort. The cement floors at the shelter are not good for him. He finds it difficult getting up on a Kuranda bed but he has a a bed on the floor. He was in a foster home briefly but he does not understand that cats are not squeak toys! We discovered that it is just as we thought, when Keiko and Benji were separated for this brief period of time, Keiko was distraught and began pulling his hair out. We are hoping someone will see their story and be able to provide them a forever home. You can look at the photos of our dogs on this page and you will see their pictures
