We are more easily noticed than seen. The former can be achieved - TopicsExpress

We are more easily noticed than seen. The former can be achieved with varying effort, or sometimes no effort, but the latter is a gift we are given by those who are patient and discerning. To be noticed is a function of intrigue, circumstance, attraction, sheer curiosity, but to be seen is an act of intention, investigation, interpretation. My hope for the coming days: to do the work of seeing and to remain open to the vulnerability of being seen, to consider what it means to maintain permeable boundary that preserves identity while enabling human communion.
