We are moving forward with a National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day scheduled for January 9th, 2015. Law Enforcement survivors are wanting to act in support of law enforcement during this difficult time, and we feel this campaign, with the positive spin on it, will be well received by our law enforcement officers. This date was chosen to allow our C.O.P.S. Chapters and your organization’s members time to plan an event, send a card, or prepare their own response in support of law enforcement. C.O.P.S. is just forming the framework for response and we encourage each organization to promote this in the way they see fit. Please do use the graphic provided (attached as “facebook with flag.jpg) as it will be very powerful to see this graphic crossing across so many organizations and citizens in support of law enforcement. Please see the attached documents for statistics and a unified message we can all use to promote this day. Feel free to cut and paste from it as you prepare your social media posts or media releases.
