We are not to judge motives or salvation. We are called to judge - TopicsExpress

We are not to judge motives or salvation. We are called to judge actions. Many times in the NT people called to rebuke their Christian brother? Mat 7:16...You will know them by their fruits. Well, we see right there a command to examine fruit to see who we are dealing with. A judgement is required right there. But the test of fruit is not to see if it makes you feel good. The Fruit of False Teachers most of all will make you feel good and bring a superficial healing to many things in your life. The people that quote, Judge not, that you be not judged seem to think that Jesus commanded a universal acceptance of just any lifestyle or teaching. To sum it all up, He only requires that our judgment be fair, and that we only judge others by a standard we would also like to be judged by. Most of all we are called to Judge False Teachers and False Teaching. We have teachers add their own measure of Poison to those blessed words. They know that you hunger for the Word of God in your lives and they step in and give you something that at first glance looks like Sparkling Water but has the kiss of Death mixed in. They have excellent motivational speaking skills. They talk to you right where you hurt. They have great abuse testimonies. They steal and distort the Gospel but so many are too busy finding someone who seems to care and understand at last they they do not even examine their Gospel teaching.
