We are off to our fantastic Kaipatiki Local Board on Wednesday night to give a quick update, heres a brief synopsis of all the things weve been doing since we started up 4 months ago: - Held a successful community planting day on Sunday 25 August, over 200+ trees planted - Paid for and distributed over 500 fliers to local residents and venues - Contributed to the Local Life article in the North Shore Times - Met on site at the park with the new Kaipatiki Parks Officer to review park maintenance issues - Increased our Facebook page to over 100 likes (thank you!!) - Worked with our community co-ordinator to prepare summer events; our first long lunch community event will be held in the park on 7 December 2013 - Liaised with the Bayview place-making group to learn from their experiences and successes -Developed our enchanted walkway concept More details on the long lunch event to follow :-)
