We are on the down hill slippery slide slope of hitting the Pacific Northwest! Nicholas and I are counting down. Its a mixed bag trip, but always good---ALWAYS---good to be back there with dad and the family, whatever craptastic wrap it gets slap dash and spackled up in. Its sort of emotional---planning with Nicholas we use lots of visuals and pictures from past visits. Pictures of people who are gone wonk me upside my mushy soft head. Im a big old ball of splinters. Its just how I feel, everything kind of pricks up on to something waiting slightly off in the shadows. Its prickly. It snags a little. Gotta avert my gaze a lot and look off into the distance, or just go ahead and dissolve once in awhile. Its good. Its sad, sometimes. Thats life. Cant wait to find myself on the river again. And, Nicholas? Well----hes over the moon, Im pretty close to following suit
