We are on the search for a Cape Town based Stage Manager of awesomeness!! FTH:K is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Stage Manager to help us on our exciting new Children’s Theatre production. • Production Type: Professional • Production location: National Tour (KZN, FS, WC ) • Production Company: FTH:K • Company website: fthk.co.za KEY DATES: • Rehearsals: 16 April - 30 April 2015 • Touring Dates*: 1 May - 30 May 2015 *TBC REQUIRED: • Drivers License • Previous experience on touring productions • Excellent people skills GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Be the primary driver of the touring vehicle with trailer attachment • Liaise with the director, Company Director, CEO, designer and other technical departments regarding costume, lighting, sound (etc) requirements • Act as Tour/Company Manager, supported by the director, through the duration of the tour • Manage the set up and strike of performance venues • Take video and photographic footage during the rehearsal and tour process • Supervise the get in and get out of performance venues • Maintain and replacing props and costumes throughout the tour • Assist with basic Front of House set up where necessary • Ensure the cast and crew’s welfare by maintaining a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation, and good working practice The Stage Manager will be involved during the rehearsal stage through to the touring and performance of the Production, and must be on hand to deal with emergencies or issues that may arise during production.
