We are planning a small community Halloween parade for the kids of the neighborhood. Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone want to offer any constructive advice? Our plan is for the kids to walk or ride a decorated bike or in a decorated wagon in their costumes. The parade will end at the nearby church where they will have punch and cookies/treats and maybe a small craft or a game or two. We are planning for the parade to take about one hour and the gathering afterward about one hour. We are hoping to be led by some piece of equipment from the local fire department to make some noise to get the neighbors out and followed by a truck pulling a small float with folks tossing out necklaces and some candy. The budget is VERY small..... recommendations???? Any childhood memories of something similar you would like to share?
