“We are presently, right now, moving through a great doorway- all of us, together. A Portal, a Star-gate, the Tree of Life, the Boat of the Pharaoh, whatever you want to call it; C.S. Lewis’s last battle where the children are taken through a great gate and they watch the apocalypse. And they so much want to do something about it. But they’re told “No, you can’t. This has to happen.” There is something rotten in the state of Denmark. You can’t be alright with it. You can’t go and save it. You can’t be okay with injustice and unjust people. When the “Armageddon” comes you have to take it, you have to let it happen. You might want to run and save them, but then you’ve killed yourself. If they can run up and keep up with you, then you run together as two Stallions. But the moment that they fall behind, you dare not turn to save them, because in doing that you cripple yourself. These are laws, they cannot be talked around with some social claptrap. Because Tennyson’s ‘Wild Bells’ are at this very moment ringing out the old and ringing in the new. On that Siddhartha road, there’s room for only one. Someone can be behind you or go ahead of you, but only one- you cannot walk side by side with anyone but yourself and your own shadow, and the love you have for it. Your anxiety, your misery, your stress-- can’t you love it? Can’t you let it wash over you? Can’t you take it in your arms instead of trying to medicate it? Remember the Legend of Orpheus: Don’t turn back.”
