We are seeking a sensitive, loving, active home for Cooper. He is a beautiful 4 1/2 year old Lab x ridgeback x ? He was rescued from a shelter 4 weeks ago. He weighs in at a lean 60 lbs., is nuttered, vaccinated, and in excellent health. He loves other dogs, and is super playful and athletic. He’s sweet and lovable, food-motivated, smart, and he learns very fast. He’s all muscle and energy, and he’ll be a fabulous running companion, guard dog, or all-around tennis-ball chaser. He loves the river and dog parks! Cooper was never properly socialized, and he isn’t entirely comfortable in the human world. He is anxious, often fearful of new people (especially men), and needs patience. We love Cooper dearly, but do not have the resources to give him the best possible home. He needs a large fenced yard, where he would thrive. Preferably in a home without young children, and where he would continue to get plenty of focused, positive encouragement, lots of exercise, and gentle, loving human interaction. He is on the way to becoming a wonderful, special family member, and we are heartbroken that he can’t be ours. Please help by re-posting this as I know his forever home in sight...just as soon as they meet him!
