We are short on volunteers Thursday, Friday and Sunday and we have NO ONE coming out on Saturday. That used to be our best day for getting help with the barn chores. There were so many people that were eager to come out. I remember our military and other groups that were dedicated to the cause. These are the times when a rescuer can feel very alone and defeated. We all work so hard to help the horses, but the after care is a daily commitment. I know the community supports PER, but when the going gets tough and temperatures soar, sometimes help can be hard to find. I am up early today and will feed shortly, so the chores can be done before the heat builds too much. There are volunteers coming today. For those that have committed this week, THANK YOU!
