We are still currently waiting to see Dr Kelb in Tn in Nobember. We cannot get our local pediatrician or the pediatric neurologist on board with the thought of this being PANDAS. My Dd 14 has severe tics of he neck and sometimes whole body and eyes rolling back in head that all started in April. She has had multiple bouts of strep this year too.Her tics had been under control until two weeks ago on a Wednesday she started to flare with the tics. She had positive rapid swab for strep and the Dr on call prescribed Amoxicillin after a couple days on it the tics were more manageable but did not go away finished the round of antibiotics still with tics. She started flaring again and said she felt as if she was getting a sinus infection took her back to the Dr who agreed she had a sinus infection then looked at her throat and asked her if her throat was sore she said no. (Wasnt sore last time with positive strep) she felt certain she had strep by the looks, smell and coating on tongue. She prescribed a Zpack and after the second day her tics diminished to practically non existent with only eye roll occasionally. Now this is day number two without Abx and the tics are starting to come back. So now we feel certain that this is pandas we are waiting on changing primary doctors to a doctor that deals with a few pandas patients in the area and will prescribe Long term abx. Would we be seeing flare this soon after Abx?
