We are to be joyful, not fearful, from the day that we decide to accept Jesus into our life to enter into the Kingdom of God. The words spoken by Paul still echo to this day: “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4). God made this declaration: “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures” (Proverbs 8:17–21). When Jesus returns on the Last Day, Paul also provided us with a glimpse of what will happen to the chosen of God’s elect when he described his own reward on that day. “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:8). God loves us and wants us to obtain our reward of hidden treasure of eternal life to go home at the end of time. “The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy” (Psalm 147:11).
