We are told that a single soul that turns from the negative to the positive and starts to do acts of loving kindness can alter the world. It also is written that if you save one soul, it is as if you’ve saved the entire world. We—each and every one of us—need to understand that we have the capacity to do just that. We don’t know how important each of us might be in the grand scheme of things or which positive action will be the one that shifts the balance. It might simply be a person who collects shoes for children that don’t have them. It might be a word said to a would-be suicide that ends up saving and changing the life of that person. It might be just holding someone in your arms and saying “Welcome.” Often we don’t know what the course might be or what it is that we need to do. But if in our thoughts, we concentrate on being better—better not in terms of only “me,” but better in terms of bringing Light to the world—then we can create a connection to the Creator for now and forever._ Karen Berg
