We are trying to reserve a date and location for next years Leach Camp Out before everything is booked. Weve looked at McCormicks Creek and are debating between moving there or returning to Shakamak McCormicks Creek has smaller group camps so rent they out much cheaper. They also have an inn on the property for those whod rather stay in comfort, and they have horseback riding available. The down side is that none of their cabins or mess halls have air conditioning. The size and layout of the cabins is very similar, but we would only have four of them so we would need to bunk together more. Each cabin does have its own toilet but no shower. The shower house is nearby and is shared with the next group camp. It also has a recreation area near the inn. We would need to play volleyball there. The camps are very wooded. There are no large grassy areas nearby. They also do not rent boats. I think the bottom line comes down to would we rather have ac and lots of room for the higher price or an inn and horses for a lower price. We would love your input.
