We are very exciting to be involved with attempt to create new Guinness World Record on Monday next week! Crew Manager Mel Finnemore (pictured), an On-Call firefighter from our Uppingham Fire and Rescue Station, has organised a “Be Safe Be Seen” hi-visability march in Uppingham in an attempt to raise awareness about the dangers of children and traffic during the winter months. School children will be joined by fire crews from Oakham and Uppingham Fire and Rescue Stations, police, mounted police, horse riders, paramedic, construction workers, builders, joggers, personal trainers, dog walkers, vets, security men, RAC roadside recovery, as well as real life fox and racoon - with everyone dressed in hi-visability clothing. The march will end with the participants laying out the world biggest (hopefully) hi-visability jacket (made by the RAC) in an attempt to make it into the Guinness World Records.
