We are very pleased to introduce Rafael Macias. He is a retired U.S. Navy Supply Corps Lieutenant Commander who is embarking on his second career as a professional photographer. Thornton Oaks veterans have been invited to participate in his photography thesis project, The Veterans, which will culminate in a book. The Veterans is an 18-month project that aims to convey the soul of a person in a single image. At the same time, the project commemorates our nation’s men and women that served in the armed forces at any point in their lives. They did not have to participate in actual combat, they just had to have served in the military. Please call the front office if you would like to participate. It is FREE.
