We aren’t pawns on God’s chess board. Nobody seems to want to hear this kind of thing because it shifts responsibility from God to them. Sadly, very few people are willing to take up their responsibility with gladness. They’d rather blame God than ever take a good, harsh look at themselves. God forbid it’s something they’re doing! They’d rather pretend to be God’s chess pawns, pretending that He is moving them through life like inanimate objects. But God never intended for people to be inanimate objects. He created man with a will and gave him the responsibility of faith!
