We arrived back in Sydney today after an awesome trip! Weve just spent the last 24 days in Switzerland, travelling on 54 trains and 18 mountain cable cars or funiculars. We also visited Switzerland in August 2011 and September 2012 so weve now seen it in Summer, Autumn and Winter! Its going to be hard going back to work but I have a lot of wonderful memories and photos from the trip, having also travelled through South America with Dave, where we visited Peru, Brazil and Argentina. In Peru we went to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and Cusco, in Brazil we visited Rio De Janeiro and in Argentina we visited Buenos Aires, where we joined a cruise to Antarctica on the Celebrity Infinity, where we joined our friends Mic and Rosie and Harold and Susan and we met a lot of great people too, who all made the cruise a fantastic experience. After the cruise we went to Iguazu Falls, seeing both the Argentina and Brazil sides before going to New York where Steph joined me for the rest of the trip on to Switzerland. While I enjoyed just about everywhere we went, the highlights of the trip are - my time in Banff in the Canadian Rockies in January while Dave stayed in LA, Machu Picchu, the day trip to Volunteer Point while in the Falkland Islands on the cruise where we saw the king penguins, seeing Antarctica, snow on the ship two days in a row, Iguassu Falls, hiking on frozen lakes in Switzerland, the horse drawn carriage ride around Lake St Moritz and through the forest while it was snowing, the hike in Zermatt when we hiked between Rotenboden and Riffelberg with wonderful views of the Matterhorn and our time in Wengen.
