We begin with the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent Assalamu_Alayik um W/B Dear Muslim Brothers & Sisters DAWAH is a binding duty on Muslims, because Islam is a universal religion meant for all mankind. ALLAH (SWT) is the Creator of the entire ‘AALAMEEN’, and Muslims have been entrusted with the duty of conveying His message to all of mankind. Sadly, most Muslims today have become neglectful towards this sacred duty! While accepting Islam as the best way of life for themselves, most are unwilling to share this knowledge with those to whom the message has not yet been conveyed. But unfortunately, Muslims of today have reduced Islam to a cult, and some Muslims today are lost and do not implement the teachings of Islam in their lives; they are only Muslims by name. Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran, Surah 2:256 al- Baqarah “THERE SHALL BE NO COMPULSION IN [ACCEPTANCE OF] THE RELIGION. THE RIGHT COURSE HAS BECOME CLEAR FROM THE WRONG. SO WHOEVER DISBELIEVES IN TAGHUT AND BELIEVES IN GOD HAS GRASPED THE MOST TRUSTWORTHY HANDHOLD WITH NO BREAK IN IT. AND GOD IS HEARING AND KNOWING” Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran, Surah 16:125 an-Nahl “INVITE TO THE WAY OF YOUR LORD WITH WISDOM AND GOOD INSTRUCTION, AND ARGUE WITH THEM IN A WAY THAT IS BEST. INDEED, YOUR LORD IS MOST KNOWING OF WHO HAS STRAYED FROM HIS WAY, AND HE IS MOST KNOWING OF WHO IS [RIGHTLY] GUIDED” Allah (SWT) says in holy Quran, Surah 41:33 Fussilat “AND WHO IS BETTER IN SPEECH THAN ONE WHO INVITES TO GOD AND DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SAYS, “INDEED, I AM OF THE MUSLIMS.” The duty of conveying the message of Islam11 is a duty upon all Muslims as Allah (SWT) warns in the Glorious Quran, Surah 9:24 at-Tawbah “SAY, [O MUHAMMAD], “IF YOUR FATHERS, YOUR SONS, YOUR BROTHERS, YOUR WIVES, YOUR RELATIVES, WEALTH WHICH YOU HAVE OBTAINED, COMMERCE WHEREIN YOU FEAR DECLINE, AND DWELLINGS WITH WHICH YOU ARE PLEASED ARE MORE BELOVED TO YOU THAN GOD AND HIS MESSENGER AND JIHAD [I.E., STRIVING] IN HIS CAUSE, THEN WAIT UNTIL GOD EXECUTES HIS COMMAND. AND GOD DOES NOT GUIDE THE DEFIANTLY DISOBEDIENT PEOPLE.” When inviting non-Muslims to Islam it is also a duty to inform them that we as Muslims are not responsible for them whether they accept or reject the message. There is no compulsion whatsoever! Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran, Surah 35:23-24 Fatir “YOU, [O MUHAMMAD], ARE NOT BUT A WARNER.” “INDEED, WE HAVE SENT YOU WITH THE TRUTH AS A BRINGER OF GOOD TIDINGS AND A WARNER. AND THERE WAS NO NATION BUT THAT THERE HAD PASSED WITHIN IT A WARNER. Allah (SWT) says in holy Quran, Surah 16:82 an-Nahl, “BUT IF THEY TURN AWAY, [O MUHAMMAD] -THEN ONLY UPON YOU IS [RESPONSIBILITY FOR] CLEAR NOTIFICATION. Dear Muslim Brothers & Sisters, if we did not do DAWAH, we are never enter to paradise, Allah (SWT) says in holy Quran, Surah 103:1-3 al-„Asr, “BY TIME, INDEED, MANKIND IS IN LOSS, EXCEPT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BELIEVED AND DONE RIGHTEOUS DEEDS AND ADVISED EACH OTHER TO TRUTH AND ADVISED EACH OTHER TO PATIENCE”. We can pray to Allah (SWT), Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran, Surah 2:201 al-Baqarah “OUR LORD, GIVE US IN THIS WORLD [THAT WHICH IS] GOOD AND IN THE HEREAFTER [THAT WHICH IS] GOOD AND PROTECT US FROM THE PUNISHMENT OF THE FIRE.” Ameen
