We believe this PUBLIC comment demands reissue. Shari-Ann Sasu July 19th, 2014 @ 9:37am My husband and I went to a sales presentation yesterday. It happened exactly as others that it was high-pressure. It was like an exercise in psychological endurance. We simply went to get vouchers because as far as we were concerned, we would take the airfare. We didnt care about the cruise. Our salesperson even tried to say it was her second week at the job. I did not buy her story. They take you inches from where everybodys talking and you have to decide right there. I knew what to expect because I did my research ahead of time. It went exactly as others noted. When you say no, sales gets her manager to make sure she did ok. Please. The manager who comes out is a dude after 10 minutes. And I notice they all keep retreating to this room so they can strategize about what to say next. I figured out early on that no matter what excuse you made, they were trained with a response. Even if you just say no, theyre trained to ask the reason so they can plug in a response. Of course, the offer got lower each time. I felt like I was in a bizarre social experiment lol. You look around, theyre handing out leis and taking pics with those who signed up (not sure if they were real customers). My husband wanted to cave at some points, but I knew not to. I finally said, I prayed about this and we just do not feel comfortable at this time. This threw my salesgirl off and the manager comes back and takes the religion out of it and harps on comfortable. That was the clincher for me. They looked soooo ticked off when we just asked to go to the gift department lol. Of course the gift comes with strings: register in 60 days, pay in 30 after that. We dont care. We just wanted airfare to Miami lol. The cruise can sit vacant since theyll just pile on the fees. Theyll probably make sure we cant fly without the cruise, but its cool. I can see how people get caught up because its very psychological and tactical in its approach. Im glad I went. If all I have to pay for on my next vacay is baggage fees, thats still a win. Ill let you know how it goes!
