We can be so clever putting others in their place, cutting them - TopicsExpress

We can be so clever putting others in their place, cutting them down to size. How about proving to an atheist that he is an utter fool? Of course all who commit suicide are going straight to hell? The list is endless of points that can be proven but how many of us would honestly pass the mirror test? Is that person you see in the mirror Christ? Does that person in the mirror have any reason to gloat and shout look at me, I am the way? We need to keep pointing others to Jesus and pray for them and not get carried away with the knowledge we do have. When I came back to Jesus it was not because of the words of one person who out shouted and cleverly convinced me that I was a stupid arrogant fool of a women who was full of sin and thought way too much of myself. It was because I was desperately seeking for answers that nobody I knew could give me. I was sick and tired of my life the way it had turned out - in fact my life was my own private hell and I could not bear the thought of having more of what I already had. Nothing that I could contrive for myself remotely looked like the solution, that was when I broke down and cried out to the Lord for help and would no longer settle for all the false little promises made by even bible quoting fools whos own lives did not impress me much. That was when I knew that only Jesus knew the Father personally and He never had a nervous breakdown or temper tantrum, Jesus corrected fools but He did not indulge in name calling, He showed the way by living it, not just talking, Jesus did not sell salvation, He gave His life and always invited all to come to Him. I took up that invitation and will not allow anybody or anything to come between Him and myself. Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. Go to Him, He will show you the truth and you will find LIFE and freedom and happiness and joy and rest in Him. This life will always have its challenges but you will no longer need to face the storms on your own and as you grow stronger in Him, the storms will seem less fierce and you will experience His helping hand at all times. He IS Eternal Life.
