We cannot choose beliefs we are beliefs......and the idea that we create what happens to us and can choose it is an idea that really screws up alot of people they think that they caused their own cancer for example And negative and positive are learned labels I had a friend who did EST and came away with the belief that he was in charge and the controller of all his thoughts and feelings and that he had wanted to have that car accident that left him in a wheelchair I asked him so if a plane ctashes everyone abord wanted and created it? He said yes That sounded crazy to me tears what a huge burden to believe you not only have personal volition but that you actually create your experiences and what a huge relief when it ends
