We cannot serve two master at the same time. Focusing on a thing or giving it our time will make us an expert on it. Just like focusing on worldly matters will grab our hearts away from God. This is so because there are only two spirits in this world: evil and good. We have only one heart; when this heart doesnt belong to God, definitely it belongs to the other. In serving God, serve Him with all our might so that the evil one wont have the chance to take hold on us. when we weaken our good spirit and gradually turn from serving Him, it would. be too difficult to go back to our first love, for the Bible says that hundreds of demons live in us that they are too powerful to hold us back from going back to God. Prayer is the only most powerful weapon to fight the devil.
