We care celebrating Catholic Schools Week this week! Each day special prayers will be read to reiterate the significance of Catholic Schools and its impact and influence on building young minds and hearts. Monday: As a Catholic school, let us take time to reflect on and celebrate the ways in which our school is a welcoming place. Some people think that education is all about learning information. Education is about people becoming the best they can be and so a very important starting place is the way we welcome each other. We all should make sure thateveryone who comes to our school understands that it is a place where human dignity is respected. That means that every day we make an effort to show kindness, to reach out to each other and to forgive. These are not easy things to do but … ‘if we only love those who love us what good is that?’ (cf. Mt 5:46). We know that Jesus Christ is not only our great teacher, he is also our example. Dear Jesus, help us be a welcoming school every day.
