We celebrated 2nd grader, Sammies birthday today. Sammie was the winner of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Happy Healthy Birthday Party Grant for October. Sammies grant application requested a fun Taste Test game for his Promoting Heathy Choices play and a recess pack for his Ramp Up For Recess play. Our student ambasssadors blind folded students and had them guess the healthy fruit or vegetable. The score was deadlocked so we had the students guess the ingredients of a smoothie. Our Fuel Up student ambassadors made the whole class smoothies and gave out the fruit and vegetable samples from the Taste Test game. The recess pack included a kickball donated by Action for Healthy Kids , a football, basketball, and jump ropes to help keep the students active. Thanks to Mrs. Zeek for letting us use her classroom.
