We condemn DU VC against his autocratic, undemocratic and anti-student actions. DUSU Press Statement 09.04.13 An incident of blackening of face of a university official happened day before yesterday which I condemn strongly. The act should not have happened. But at the same time the attitude and actions of the university officials especially the Vice Chancellor is responsible for such harsh behaviour by students because the university has closed all media of dialogue and discussions on students grievances. It is shameful that the university has sealed DUSU office immediately after this incident as if all the office bearers are involved in such acts. Even if an office bearer of DUSU acts in an unlawful manner, the university cannot act in unlawful manner and it should form an unbiased committee to inquire about the incident. Only then can they take any action on the union office bearer. The university has undermined the democratic institution of Delhi University Students Union by taking one sided action against the office bearer. I strongly condemn this action. Such undemocratic actions of the DU officials in the past are the real reasons of incidents which are happening today. DUSU and ABVP will not tolerate dictatorship of the DU Administration and will continue our struggle against FYUP, to reinstate Special Chance, Re-evaluation and Supplementary exams, and to build more hostels for students. We will soon announce our future protests to further intensify the student movement against FYUP! These tactics of DU administration to suppress the students movement will be dealt with properly by the students. Our movement against FYUP long live!
