We could have multiple companies offering high speed internet service in the USA... But the huge monolithic companies like Comcast and AT&T have corrupted the FCC and Congress into crushing Net Neutrality and favoring large corporations over whats best for the USA consumer. It is stifling small business growth. It is pushing the USA backwards in internet commerce. Meanwhile China is working at a feverish rate to provide high speed internet access to every citizen... Large corporations in the US are CRUSHING innovation and commerce. (Exactly what the department of commerce was set up to safeguard.) But we now have the mentality in the US that corporations have more rights than citizens...
