We decided we should have our pond water tested seeing as our pups swim it on a regular basis! Well the lab was amazed at the results and said whatever we are doing to maintain our pond .....keep it up. Our pond tested same if not cleaner then the beaches you all swim in at the big lakes :-) E. coli allowed by provincial standards at a beach is 100....our pond is 26 so golden there. The other bacterias they tested for all the levels were also very low......they said it is safe for us to swim in, therefor safe for our pups. Peace of mind :-)) I guess the fountain, aerator, all natural marine colour, bacterial balls and my physically removing bad algae every spring is paying off.....I think we have the cleanest pond around haha
